Food Read

The way I see it, there's no point in talking about food if you aren't going to discuss books about food. I just got this from Amazon (used for like, $1.59) and it's completely awesome:

It's a collection of essays from women about the nature of food and its presence in their lives, bucking the ideas that women are constantly dieting or worrying about what they shouldn't eat. The essays are nostalgic, funny and touching. My favorite (thus far) is by a woman named Pooja Makhijani, whose traditional Indian mother packed her leftover aloo tikki for her school lunch, when all Pooja wanted was to buy chicken nuggets and pizza bagels from the cafeteria. It's definitely a good read for anyone-- but in particular women-- who love food. Highly recommended!
